Nice! I will have to try that Tru-Oil some time, cause I always like the way it turns out on other peoples projects.

Neat. Really neat. I passed by a 1894M for over a year and it finally sold just as I was weakening. I do believe the big man upstairs was looking out for me. Every time I handled that gun it just got nicer and nicer to me. I'm sure your wife  will enjoy hers!
Sincerely,

Hobie

Yeah, I'm liking it alot more now. I'm thinking about just a couple of more coats of Tru Oil then I'll be getting a leather butt cuff and sling for it.

I've got a fair amount of different types of ammo too, so hopefully one of them will shoot well.

Well, I didn't get a chance to shoot it this weekend because of rain, but I did throw on a couple of more coats of Tru-oil.

Not too shiny and not too dull. Now, it looks almost exactly like the factory finish on my 80's vintage 336.

Wonderful job! I really like those 1894M rifles. I have owned two in my life and just missed on a chance at another one. They are neat rifles.
