I ran across this .30-30 kit, with forarm etc, to convert a Winchester 94 to a 26" half-octagon/half-round barrel, for $200:

I've pondered ordering one of those for a year now. I even found a cheap mid-70s 94, but i think I like it too much to pull it apart!

My 26" gets about 2450 fps with the 150s - a worthwhile jump if anyone is so inclined.
