That was excellent, Doc. Thanks for the link.
About 37 minutes in, one of the narrators discusses how slowly both sides became aware of the war-changing nature of the rifle musket. This is thoroughly and brilliantly discussed by Brett Gibbons (an officer on active duty with the U.S. Army) in "The English Cartridge," a book I cannot recommend highly enough to anyone interested in warfare in the 19th century.
