O.T.- Oregon Elk hunting

Post by lever-4-life »

I would like to get some info on a good area to hunt elk in oregon. I am looking into next years hunting destination because colorado is too far and with gas prices... I am a rifle hunter and am more of a meat hunter so I don't require a trophy. I realy have no idea about any of the areas so any help would be helpful.

PM Pharmseller or email Marlinman93 (he can only access this site from work).
I know a whole lot about very little and nothing about a whole lot.

Thanks for thinking of me, but if you're looking for a meat hunt, try a cow hunt in Idaho or Colorado. It'd cost less and you would probably stand a better chance.
If I were to spend money on an out-of-state license and tag (not cheap just about anywhere) I would not pick Oregon. I haven't shot a bull since 2004, despite hunting hard all season.
If I were going to book a hunt I would call Wayne at The Bow Rack in Springfield at 541-746-9711. He specializes in bow hunting but in my book he's the guy who would know the right guy for a rifle hunt. Wayne is good people, too.
