And precisely just what part of a, no doubt, multi-fatal military aircraft accident is it that you thought was funny????????????

No fatalities.

Insurance. More money. Get it?

I don't think your therapist is done with you.

Get a grip.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

Exactly. Had we lost anyone this would have been posted under a much different subject line, starting with "OT - Prayer Request". The link says right there that the pilots ejected to safety. It also says that it was the most expensive single airplane accident ever - which was the point...

clearly the pilots ejected (thankfully) safely. $1.48B thrown down in flames - lets see, aprox 300 million of us in the US, but only half that of that are working, so that 150 million (give or take) - I think that comes to $10 a person. Thats more than min hourly wage, but lets assume that 25% on min wage and the rest make double or even tripple that amount, that leaves somewhere around 100M man/woman hours went down the tubes in that accident just to pay for it. (and that does not count the cost of the fuel at $5 a gallon :D ) Thats either pretty funny or very sad.

The link says it was due to water clogging some sensors but it looks to me like is angle of attack was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too steep for his airspeed.

Was his AOA indicator one of those sensors? Maybe, but the feel and the Earth sitting at a 45+ degree angle from his side window should have been a clue...
If these walls could talk, I'd listen to the floor.
