I treated a friend's son by giving him my Franchi al48 after noticing how big he is now(14) and giving him a few shots with it.
He's over the moon and been shooting clays pretty good with it despite it's tight choke.
That left me without an auto shotgun so off I trot to my local fun store and trial a Hatsan Luxarno!
Well I couldn't fault it, no matter what I shot from it stuff fell from the sky!
Pheasants and crows with ease.
I took it back and then I tried a Benelli. Now I really liked the Benelli and it's action but no way could I shoot it as consistently although I did get a pheasant or two.
In the end I took that back and got the Hatsan.
It comes with another barrel and a choke set.
It's like new and was marked up for 399£. My dealer and friend let me have it for 320£!
Very happy with it .
Some photos.
Hope you liked this little story.

Great that you are helping that young lad with his shooting plus it gives you the perfect excuse to buy a new toy...

Re: New shotgun
Very nice, Nath! That is a bit over $400 USD here, and that's a great deal for a semi-auto. Y2K's first pump shotgun was a Hatsan "Escort" in 20 gauge, and its a great little shotgun (though he outgrew it fast).

Re: New shotgun
Nath, the Turks make some very good stuff along with some just okay stuff. Glad your Hatsan is doing yeoman's for you. Jess seems to approve!
I am impressed that you can go to your fun store, check out a gun, shoot it and take it back to try another!

Thanks Bill. Yeah, the law says one legally held shotgun can be borrowed to another licence holder ( or is that lent to ??) for 72 hours.Bill in Oregon wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2024 8:41 am Nath, the Turks make some very good stuff along with some just okay stuff.
