What was the reason for leverguns being down today?

Post by GunnyMack »

I was alerted to the site being down by another member, I tried to login but couldn't.
I then checked via email with one of our British brethren to see if he could get on. Then with one of our Mainiac brothers, nope.
I'm not complaining but does anyone know what the reason was?

No clue but I tried to get in half a dozen times over about 4 hrs and couldn't get anything but a blank screen. Not a computer nerd so a guess is that the server was down and didn't respond to anything.

Got my buddy's shells all loaded for his moose hunt. Finished the last of the 45-70s for the 1886.
Finally done!

I apologize for forgetting to give y'all a "Heads up!". They switched us to a "new and improved" server with updated hardware and software. Everything appears to be running well so far.

Good to know it was just an upgrade rather than a problem.

I was wondering if it was due to an upgrade but with some of the weather that was out there I had a suspicion it could have been power related but that wasn't the case.
Again Paul thank you for your tireless efforts!

I was hoping something like that was the reason. When I went to the "Is it down" site they said it wasn't completely down, but likely a server issue.

Being self taught on these electronic devices I figured out that the do-hicky wasn't connected to the what-you-call it and that caused the thingamig not to engage properly. Thumping it on the side doesn't help but sure does make me feel like I have some control.
