38-55 Combo

Post by Sixgun »

I tell ya, this is fun…. An 1893 takedown Marlin in 38-55 made in 1901 which I competed with many times and a Merwin & Hulbert along with an early 1950’s Model 29. The bullets stick out a bit but if you pull the hammer back real hard they will cycle. Those suckers kick! 🤪

Got it off today Griff………I used the Makita angle grinder with one of those heavy duty super stiff wire wheels on it….it’s nice and clean now.

THIS IS THE BIG ONE!

Darn near gave me a heart attack! Some things you should not joke about, like messing up real and beautifully done case color hardening!!!

Yes, Jay (YK) and JReed used to do those often -- but in his "advancing years", Jay now forgets to show us his slippers in the photos.

I hate to admit it, but I have to retire the moccasin slippers for something with a better arch. Back needs it. You can see them peeking out in my "1060 combo" post.
