Good Morning. I hope all you Dads out there have a great day.

Ditto! My rugrats gave me the movie "Letters from Iwo Jima" and a suduko game for the PSP. Wife, who knows me all too well, gave me a tin sign that reads: "No Trespassing. Violaters will be shot. Survivors will be shot again."
Happy Father's Day to all!!!

I didn't see this thread when I started mine, so I deleted it, & joined my wishes to yours.
Happy Father's Day to all you Dad's out there. I had the rare privilege of having dinner with mine last night and talking with my son.

Got a good start as yesterday, one daughter took me to the indoor range to shoot 22s.
Sadly, I must report that I didn't shoot my M39 (She did tho!). I finally got a chance to shoot
that Iver Johnson Super Sealed Eight 1946 target revolver, nice and accurate. It does need
a little more break in and chamber polishing otherwise I'm gonna like this one alot. Found
an IJ holster on ebay and should have it by next weekend. Did shoot the 1929 M52 Winny also.

I've got one of those that belonged to my Grandfather. Surprisingly accurate. His is pretty worn and the timing's a off but it's a fun old revolver.

I would like to second the sentiments and wish you Dad's a happy father's day. May you take your cue from Joseph, Step dad to Jesus the Christ. As I looked at what little the bible says about him I notice several things that makes him a man to take notice of, to emulate: 1. He loved his wife. Instead of divorcing Mary for being pregnant prior to marriage (a stoneable offense) he loved her and married her. He protected her often, he provided for her and their children. 2. He loved his children. (Jesus was a step child, had at least 4 brothers and a sister. ) He is called righteous - right with all his relationships (husband, laborer, father, friend, servant of God) and 3. He loved his God. On three occasions of note, he was quiet enough to hear God speak, he listened and acted. May we all be found righteous - right with all our relationships. Happy Fathers day.

Happy? I don't know, somber day for me. Year ago today my Dad left me.
This is the last picture I have with my Dad, along with my sisters Marvina, and Evelyn. He was gone just three days later.
I honored him in memory all day today, he was my hero, and my best man, my best friend, and I miss him especially allot today.

I thought of you frequently yesterday, as I too was missing my own father and wishing I could share just one more day with him. He's been gone over half my life now, and I will exceed his age myself next year. It weighed heavily on me all day, as I know it did with you. However, you are a father, and a great one, and we need to remember that in our personal sorrow there is hope, as we look into the eyes of our own children, and try to be the best father we can for them.
Re: Happy Fathers Day !!!
Ji and Jay,
I have yet to loose my dad, so I couldn't begin to know the pain of that. I do know that we will one day, through HIS GRACE, be united and the reunion will be fantastic, beyond imagination. It is our tasks now, to be the best father to our sons and daughters, to perservere through our losses and to honor the memory of your dads through your actions as men and leaders of your families as I know you are. Your loss is in my prayers that God may provide comfort to you in the tough times, and courage and joy and happiness in the rest. Blessings to you and all who share similar loss and thoughts. I am honored to pray for men who love their family enough to mourn, yet continue in the traditions and love taught to you by your dads.

Thank you Mike!
It is the faith and brotherhood of fine Christian men (and women) here - fellow shooters and passionate defenders of freedom - that I have found comforting, even so many years after the loss of my father. It is a community I did not realize existed - and am honored to be part of.
