Re: Carlos Santana "doesn't really have a rock band..."
My senior year in high school had just started in the early fall of 1970 when I brought home the just-released Abraxas album and when Dad, a seriously born-again conservative got a load of that cover, I think he considered throwing it out -and me with it. Then I put that lovely black vinyl platter on our cheesy little 78/45/33 1/3 "stereo" turntable and turned it up. Dad -- a serious Earl Hines-Duke Ellington-Nat King Cole jazz fan -- was transfixed. I had a Santana convert.
Carlos is now 75. I think he and his wife Cindy Blackman did a fine job with this version of "Oye Como Va" last year.

I am constantly surprised by this group of folks... Two of my favorite albums are his... Abraxas & Supernatural.

I have always liked Santana. Wendy G has a nice voice too.

One of my favorite bands!
I could hear it in the mix but kept waiting for it...
Then finally, there it was... Cory Henry rockin' the Hammond B3 organ (THE KING of instruments!) -- what an awesome keyboard solo and performance by all!
That's a great song to jam to, and I haven't played it with a band for a long time -- on the Hammond of course!

Re: Carlos Santana "doesn't really have a rock band..."
I have one Santana album
Downloaded on iTunes. A compilation album he recorded with other artists but provided guitar work.
His version (homage) to Led Zeppelin’s Whole lotta love is epic. I think the rock singer Chris Cornell (RIP) was the vocalist.
Nice choice when I’m tired of podcasts or Fox News
