Yearly wipe down and inspect. 1860 Colt Army signature series . Wife bought this one for me in 1994. Not much on safe queens but its so Purdy I hate to scratch it .

I'm going to forgo making any snarky comments about admiring from a distance vs. being loved on and used regularly. NOT!

Re: Colt 1860 Army
Nice and yes it wouldn't stay quite that way with regular doses of black powder and lead....but still NICE..
Whatever you do always give 100%........... unless you are donating blood.
Re: Colt 1860 Army
Very nice!
But you HAVE to shoot it more!!!
I just gave a tuned-up Uberti 1860 Army to my nephew -- it's half the gun the SIgnature Series is, as evidenced by my Colt 1861 Navy.
Mine is the only cap n ball Colt I've had that was dead-on at 20 yards -- not shooting too high (Civil War soldiers were instructed to "aim at the belt" to ensure an upper body hit, is what I've read...).

Re: Colt 1860 Army
I believe I read the 1860 Army was dead on at 60 yards .
The Pietta and this Colt both shot high at 25 yards by 12"
Meant for horse soldiers.
