this looks interesting

It's not every day or even every decade that a new factory ammo offering in 35 rem is offered. I wonder if it will ever actually be available.

From the product specifications.....

2080 Feet Per Second

If, in real world velocities (20" marlin with microgroove) it actually breaks 2000 fps. with a 220 gr. bullet then that is indeed something worthy of comment.

.
35 Rem is a great cartridge.

Like many 'oldies', there isn't that much it can't do reasonably well.

Wonder how that bullet would do out of say, a Contender rifle in .357 Maximum.

You can count on midway to send you an "in stock' notification, then you immediately go to order it and get 'out of stock'. I was a customer 47 years but after 3 times of the in stock/ no stock situation in the last 90 days, I am done with them.

this was more of a comment on the prospect of a new factory offering for the 35 Rem, not an endorsement of Midway. Midway just happens to be where I saw the ammo listed.

but yes, that's what I thought looked interesting. 220 grain bullet at the same velocity as the standard 200 grain loading. sounds like a thumper.
