Someday's even a blind squirrel

Post by Griff »

can find an acorn!

When I got home last Wednesday nite, the first thing I did was go check the status of my ammo for the match this past weekend. And, when I went to check on the brass in my tumbler I found out the motor had died.

This is the big Dillon model. I groused about all weekend about who (me) was stupid enough to have left it runnin' when I last left home, (March 15)!

So, today I called Dillon to find out how much it was going to cost to have a new motor shipped. At first, the customer service guy couldn't find my purchase history. As he was looking this up I walked out to the barn (the thunderstorms had passed) and as I got there he found it. We confirmed the model I had purchased back in 1995, and he started giving me a return authorization number. I asked, "can't you just sell me a new motor?" He said this model needs some updates and changes. Afterwards, I sheepishly asked how much this would cost.

The good, wonderful, understanding, gracious folks (was that enough?) at Dillon said, "Well, Dennis, when you bought that model it was covered by our lifetime warranty."

YeeHAW! So, off it goes tomorrow.

Hey, can I recommend Dillon to ya? You bet! Buy BLUE!

Now that's the kind of service that'll forever keep a customer.

Congrats on the silver lining behind them clouds.

Awesome to hear.....I will support these folks on my next purchase of reloading gear. RCBS seems to be outsourcing much of their stuff to China. :?

Looks NEW. Now to load 150 rds of .30-30! Sounds like a good reason to set up the "new to me" Rock Chucker. Also need to try out the 12 gauge dies I have for it.

But, may have to leave in a hurry as I'm waiting for a ride back to Joplin and pick up my Pete, take it to its new owner and pick up the newly rebuilt KW. But, that'll be a different post. (w/pictures)!

I love good reports. I'm still using a yard sale tumbler I bought 10+ years ago. No warranty, no nothing. When it dies I'll check out the blue ones.

Where do ya get 12 gauge dies that'll fit a Rockchucker? I was looking for some at one point, but finally just gave up!

Sounds like the time I left the radio in the oven. Some folks still like to remind me about that one.

Not sure I wanna hear that story! New or rebuilt, (I haven't seen it & the wife won't open the box), the vibratory case cleaner arrived. But hey, I'm a happy camper!

BUY BLUE!

I've heard the new ones don't have the lifetime warranty, and the replacement motor is more expensive than a new tumbler of a different brand.
