I purchased a new Marlin 1895GS in 45/70 last weekend and I have a question regarding the trigger. I've noticed that there appears to be some forward movement of the trigger. It doesn't matter if the gun is loaded and ready to fire or unloaded hammer at rest. Is this normal for the Marlin guns? It doesn't appear to be affecting the release of the hammer though. Thank you for your help.
