Winchester 94 carbine takedown?

Post by rangerider7 »

When I was at the San Antonio gun show a while back I saw a 94 carbine takedown. The dealer had just got it and did not want to sell it. I think he said it was made in 1951 or 1961. They were sent to another country by Winchester. It seems like the country started with the letter A. I stopped listening when he said it was not for sell. Anybody familiar with this lever?

I don't know of any TDs made that late, nor in a carbine configuration... but, I'd ask over on the Winchester Collector's forum.

I'm with Griff on this one......my understanding is that winchester only made takedowns in rifle configuration.

I emailed Rob Kassab at Rare Winchesters and he had never seen one. I guess this guy has a good one. He said he was taking it to Cody because they had never seen one and they wanted to photograph it. I guess we will here about it later.

There is a 94 26" 1912 32WS TD over on the SASS wire Classifieds for $1150.00.

I doubt it will last long at that price, looks like a nice rifle.
