Good for him. I would like to think I would fight until I just couldn't move anymore or the bear killed me. But, hopefully I'll never have to findout. That's one of the main reasons I pack a big bore revolver when traipsing around in the woods. A rifle I might not be able to get the barrel turned enough to get the shot into the bear, but with a revolver I have more options at close range. I still pack the rifle though.

Iam with Kimwcook 44 mag hand gun on a lanyard just like the Mounties did, plus Browning 86 SRC in good ole 45-70.
