I saw where someone posted something about these the other day and some how the existence of it went by me. I had to go look it up. I think I like it.
Does anyone have one? I'm thinking one in .30-30 might be about what I need.

I have the 308MX,308MXLR and 1895XLR.The actions are silksmooth(especially the 308 ME chambered models and the barrels are also V-threaded to the action). The XLR's barrel/magazine dovetail mounting prevents overtightening of the mount screw allowing the barrel to pivot like the old three point bedding of bolt action fame(this gives a semi floating barrel). The followers are dimpled for hornady's LE ammo. The XLR models (SS) bolts are fluted thus preventing the bolt from binding do to the high performance LE Ammo.(Some opine the bolt fluting is for show, but fail to recall the stainless steel's property to gall.)All these design improvements egual bolt action rifle like accuracy for a Marlin levergun with increased effective range(using LE ammo). Also the XLR rifles really demand a scope be mounted(although call me a Ol'e fanny burp,"no scopes on my levergun thank you").My rifles all displayed sub MOA accuracy out of the box.

Thanks, I had heard the part about the special threads on the .308 version. I wasn't sure if they did it or if it was needed on the other calibers.
Sub MOA in a levergun sounds good too. I just don't need anything more than a .30-30 and I've come to really like it anyway. To be honest about it the 24" barrel is the real plus factor to me. I'm not crazy about the shiney stainless part but I can let it grow on me I guess.

The 450 Marlin chambered rifle barrels are also V-threaded.The 30-30 would be a excellent choice.A flat matte soft beadblast would be a nice additional touch to dull the shine.I stalk hunt deer 'n hog in 'bama swampbottoms. For rifles that I actually use are either a Rossi puma 92 20" SS 45 colt or a ol'e Winnie 94 AE 20" in 30-30(the gameranges are very short). The foliage is usually very thick and the short barrels/lite weight are convient.(The XLR's I own are for long range knockdown). Here is a photo of my locale.

My 1895xlr, straight out of the box, after two fouling shots, put five W-W 300gr HP bullets into a 1.25" group (100yds). This was using iron sights. With a scope, I wouldn't be suprised if it would go in under an inch.
