So far it is a great read.
Chapter 6 discusses the firearms and rounds of the time that make good canoe companions.

In chapter 6 he mentions "For large game -- .45-70-330, Gould bullet,".

What type of bullet is that?

It is Lyman 457122... Mount Baldy bullets sells them. Basically, they are an HP version of the 457192.
