I have seen several Marlin 1894c 357s with either a dovetailed front post or a ramp front sight.
The two I had were the ramped version. Didn't care for that look much so I traded up for the more traditional looking Win94 Trapper.
My question is, did Marlin ever make a round barreled dovetailed version of the 44mag 1894?
I was on the verge of just cutting a dovetail in mine, but there doesn't seem to be enough meat at the muzzle to cut one.

Marlin 1894/1894c question
...and I don't think he even knows it...Walks around with a half-assed grin...If he feels fear, he don't show it. Just rides into hell and back again.

I don't believe so.
AFAIK, the only RB Marlin 1894's, with front sights dovetailed directly in the barrel w/o a ramp, are the early models in .25-20, .32-20, .38-40, & .44-40, and the modern CL models in .25-20 & .32-20.

Thanks gents I appreciate it.
Looks like the Cowboy version is the only one available. So, I'll just keep the 1894 as my truck gun and keep an eye out for a Cowboy or a Win94 Trails End model.
