i saw in the news yesterday that the country of brazil just brought in a huge oil feild in the western atlantic and it's energy independant. probably the only country that's energy independant on the earth.

we have that potiential if congress will allow it. but, it may be too late now.

the prices of oil will paralyze this nation if not brought back under REASONABLE prices. i believe we could have one dollar a gallon fuel again if congress would allow it. congress gleans too much revenue from it as do state and municipalities...

I'm in total agreement with you and have said exactly that on several threads running here now.
We, the American public, other countries too, are being royally screwed. Our government has become corrupt and is out to destroy us. I'm firmly convinced that there is a conspiracy between certain controlling members of our government and other hostile entities to bring this country to it's knees. And they've found their way to do it ... oil.

There is a lot of oil sitting in the gulf, and while Congress twittles it's thumbs, other countries are rushing in to retrieve it. By the time our elected-idiots pull their collective heads out of their collective rear ends, it will be gone...
