Went to the scrap yards yesterday and came back with 4 bags of lead shot: 4, 5, 6, and 8 still sealed for $.75 per pound as well as 75 225grn .358 sp Nosler bullets for an additional $7. A friend of mine ended up with another 60lbs of linotype pure as well as 1500 bullets sized and lubed 44mag, 9mm, 22 and god knows what else.
Its amazing what people are scrapping rather than selling to people who can use it.
OT-Very happy indeed..

That should be changing soon (fingers crossed). It hasn't gotten above $40 a bag in my area (except for Gander Mnt), and as of right now lead is 86 cents per pound.RIHMFIRE wrote:what a steal!....its 45 + bucks for a 25 pound bag of lead shot !

Oh, that is just A SIN! Why would anyone toss that kind of equipment? My bet - someone passed away and the family just decided to get rid of it. What a waste...morgan in nm wrote:Apparently what had happened was that somebody threw away their entire reloading setup.
