The Marble's sportsman's rear sight did not work out so I had to resort to putting an old scope on it, that came with my other 9422 when I bought it.
The gamekeeper on the estate where I live asked me to look out for some cubs up on the Iron Age Fort about 3/4 mile from my house.
So I took a walk up there with my now very unwieldy 9422M, sat under a tree by the Iron Age ditch and called. Within seconds a fox cub appeared and ran straight at me. One shot in the chest and that was that.
I carried the dead fox cub all the way back to show GK Jnr, just so he could see the old man hadn't lost his touch, when Robbie the gamekeeper came past in his Land Rover patted me on the back and threw the fox cub in the back and drove off. So sorry no photo!

Nothing wrong with a telescopic sight on a working firearm. I use scopes on my muzzleloaders for deer hunting as well as my shotgun for deer and turkey. I even have some on my handguns for hunting as well.
Just curious. What 22 WRM load did you use? I am waiting with bated breath for CCI to make a QUIK SHOK in the 22 WRM. It should add more killing power to that round.
I know you might not want to broadcast, but if you could e-mail me the location, I'd be very happy to look it up on Google Earth. I love this sort of thing.
Sincerely,
Hobie

Bigbore, I used a Winchester 40grain jacketed hollow point. Hard to get much else over here!
YK, yup jr was miffed and I shouldn't really say this here, but he was watching England beat the USA 2-0 at Soccer instead of going out huntin'
Jaguarundi, It was not the first kill with the 9422M just the first looking through a carrying handle! My 59 year old eyes are telling me a scope is the way to go, but I'm fighting it!

Well done GK, I have been after a couple for days now. I had a shot early Monday morning but hesitated for some reason, must be my age.
Yes they don't carry the same with a scope but in my opinion they carry better than most once scoped.
