Reloading Bench-Tool

I would like to have access to a high pressure air hose at my reloading bench. My bench is inside, so a large "Garage Style" air compressor is not practical. I would like to buy a small electric air compressor that would have enough pressure to clean out my dies, and gun parts when cleaning(as needed). I do not want to spend an arm and a leg, but quality is imperative. Any suggestions?? Tom.

Might look into the small ones used for airbrushing.
Might get a decent one for the garage and just charge up a small tank
with hose for inside.

That is exactly what I was thinking about. How is the quality?? I like the price. I did look at a Dewalt that had a 1.5 gallon tank, but it was $115. I wonder if the Dewalt is worth the extra money?? Tom.

You are talking about a very light duty intermittant use here. Either one should last forever at the rate you will use it. DeWalt is a great brand, you might want to inspect each one and make up your own mind, I wonder is they are BOTH made in China?

I have a 10# CO2 bottle that I bought to air up my jeep tires it would work for you what you need.A friend told me who to contact in San Diego www.beveragefactory.com they sell on ebay also , the regulator came from www.williamsballoons.com in santa maria,ca for discount tell them you're a jeep owner & go to an auto parts store for a hose & parts.

I use the "canned air" and buy it in a 4-pack at Costco for ~$12 It works well and doesn't take up lots of space.

Ryobi also make a small air compressor that runs off of one of their 18 volt power packs. I've been looking at one of them at Home depot for some time.

If you know someone in the A/c business they used to throw away their Freon tanks that are about the size of a 20# LP gas bottle. Auto parts stores around here used to sell a hose, dial, and valve assembly that would convert them to a portable air tank.

I suggest you use a as big a portable air tank as you would like. If you have any gas stations around that still give away air, it would work very well for you and you wouldn't need to listen to any pumps running at your house. I have a Craftsmen 33gal horizontal that works very well. Probably more than you want to spend though.

I have a small air compressor bought at Walmart and it's perfect for the same uses. A friend does some small gun repairs and showed me his ,so I copied him . Cost was about 50$ I think ......My wife uses it for things around the house. Plus the compressor is small and compact..........Mutt.
