Huh, have a couple comments but: just wow! Wrong place right time.
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

I for one wouldn't want to be so close to something as unpredictable and as large as a whale......

Re: A whale of a time
Went on a whale watch trip in high school, was a great experience! We had em blowing whale snot on us they were that close. Would i be out there on a paddle board? No way!!
Last summer while going out fishing we darn near hit a whale in the bay at full speed! Have also seen porpoise by the hundreds. Always great to see the big mammals.

Re: A whale of a time
They are interesting the first few times. Unfortunately they migrate right through the areas I like to fish. They scare the bait fish off and away go the bigger fish. Obviously that video wasn't in US waters. If it were the water cops would have arrested the kayakers for disturbing the whale.

Re: A whale of a time
Looks to me the whale spit out the boat and the persons before it went under, if not they would of drowned for sure.
I`m sure there was a school of fish under the boaters as evident by all the birds, they were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Re: A whale of a time
the whale targeted the kayak. it was upset. they get tired of the of the hovering fleet of gawkers and can get a bit cranky. can't blame them. there are other similar things in other places. they learn from one pack to another
