Wanted in MO: 327 Federal or 32 H&R brass/dies
This is not a good year to be looking for components and such, but I figured I'd see what might turn up here on the forum.
This summer, the Good Lord willing, I'll be up in the US for a few weeks. During that time I'll be taking possession of a 327 Federal caliber sevengun. A search for brass and dies online is coming up dry. I've got brass backordered from Starline, but there's no telling when they'll be able to fill that back order. I also ordered some 32 SWL brass, but that's not the best option, although it will allow me to put up some relatively mild loads for my wife and grandkids to shoot. Being in the shorter brass will make it obvious which loads are which. Anyway, if you happen to have some 327 Federal brass needing a new home, please let me know via private message or email to webservant AT sixshootercommunity.com Another option would be 32 H&R Magnum brass which will chamber and function fine in this resolver.
Update on dies - have been sourced, check sent.
I'm also in need of a set of dies. 32 S&W/32 SWL would be fine, as would those labeled for 32 H&R Magnum or 327 Federal. I've been watching on fleabay, but prices there are ridiculous. Again, please let me know if you've any dies no longer needed.
Thanks in advance!

Paul, are you getting the Ruger Single Seven? You'll like it!
It is getting insane on components. I was looking for a mold for a musket, and everything was sold out even on the site dedicated to "the old stuff". I don't think it is going to get any better soon either.
Good luck!

Yes, sir. A nifty little Single Seven it is. Have been drooling over the pics for the past couple years, but finally was able to scrape up the requisite funding and will take delivery after reaching the US again. Dies are nuts, price wise. Lee brand is being hocked at over what Hornady and such used to be priced at. I don't care for this "new reality" at all.Ysabel Kid wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 8:47 pmPaul, are you getting the Ruger Single Seven? You'll like it!

Well, that $106 bucks puts ebay items in perspective!

Dies are coming back in stock. People only need one set so there is no use in hording. At Midway I put in for notification for back in stock on certain dies. Last Friday Lee 6.5 PRC dies came in, I got them and 2 weeks ago it was Lee 300 Black out. So Lee dies are showing up. I am sure by summer it will be easier to find. Brass might be harder.

I havent looked at fleabay, but a few weeks ago, I was shocked to find out that a nearby Walmart was selling the green line of reloading supplies. Picked up six or seven rifle sets for 32-35 bucks.AmBraCol wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 8:36 pmOldncrusty wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 4:31 pmHeres a fancy set that is backorderable with a "overdue" status.

Rats! Just checked my Starline order. I'd have sworn the 32 SWL brass was in stock when I ordered it, but the order shows "Backordered" for it and the 327 brass as well...

That seems to be a rampant affliction nowadays.
Either the software, or the people in charge of feeding the the data to the software, can't keep up with the demand.

I had a hunch that I might have duplicates of 32 h&r dies. Took a while to stir them up, but I sure do. Now I just have to figure out which cartridges that can be loaded with each set. Either way, I have you covered at least for 32 H&R mag.
I'll send a PM soon.

My local shop has 2 bags of Federal 327 brass for $35 a bag. Should be 100 count. If you are interested let me know and I can pick it up and ship it to you.

Update on dies - have been sourced, check sent.
Have an offer for some brass if Starline doesn't fulfill the backorder in time.
