I realize I can use .454 pistol loads in my Puma, but the published velocities for reload data seem never to be applicable to rifles, and it would be nice to have a better idea of what to expect and what is possible with reasonable (not 'killer') loads from a rifle.
Is there a bunch of RIFLE .454 data out there somewhere?
(A pet peeve of mine is books like Lee's "Modern Reloading" make assumptions about what gun you will fire a cartridge in, and many times don't even specify 'rifle' or 'pistol'!)

That may be because the 454 Casull originated as a pistol cartridge and it's use in rifles is a relatively new adaptation and not widespead. Usually takes the manuals a while to catch up!
