The Good, The Bad and... -- The Mandalorian ? ? ?
OK, so I was late to the party watching the Star Wars spin-off "The Mandalorian", but now I cannot wait until season 3 starts!
--> But I am the only who thinks The Mandalorian is "The Man With No Name" from the Clint Eastwood spaghetti westerns?
The voice sounds the same, the walk is similar, he's good with a blaster -- or a rifle, he's typically a loner but rescues helpless children and meets his match with tough strong women when he needs some help, all the while defending a helpless village from any outlaws. It's like a western set out in space in the future -- "in a galaxy far, far away" of course.
I'll admit I thought it is Star Wars cheesy and campy at times when I first started watching, but as season 2 started (just finished it), I was liking it more and more with each episode; although some were better than others.
But dang -- I keep hearing Clint Eastwood's deadpan dialog whenever "Mando" speaks.
Anybody else watching this series?

Hey Old no7,
I just started watching this and I'm halfway through season 1. You're right, good show and after the first episode I was sure they had dubbed in Clint's voice. I hadn't thought about the plot line but now that you mention it it certainly does resemble Clint's spaghetti westerns.

It's good, and if your a star wars fan very good..They in fact represent the show as a "space western"
The star Pedro Pascal, does the voice overs, and the two stunt guys do most of the action work in the armor, one of the stunt guys is John Waynes grandson...You can tell right away if Pascal is in armor, he walks with a lisp, lol

Ill admit to NOT being a Star Wars fan but i actually got hooked on this show. The wife and I rarely every watch TV, we would both rather read a book but we both enjoy The Mandalorian. Pascal actually threatened to quit if he didnt get more time without his helmet.

Much like Firefly the Star Wars saga and more recently Guardians of the Galaxy are really just a space western. I watched the first two Star Wars then lost interest. Firefly was much more fun.

We're addicted to it as well.
The original "Star Wars" was one of the last movies I saw with my Dad. I was always a big sci-fi fan, but that made it even more special. He would have loved "The Mandalorian" series. Like you said, it is basically Clint Eastwood/Spaghetti western set in space. Pedro Pascal must have studied Clint's films. His voice really sounds just like Clint's in some scenes.
When Gene Roddenberry pitched "Star Trek" he basically called in a "wagon train in the stars". "Battlestar Galactica " (the original one) was literally a wagon train in the stars. Not too surprising Star Wars would follow suit.
Just means that Westerns really are the best entertainment, not matter when and where they are set!

Yep. We already had purged Disney from the home but will redouble our efforts...
PLUS (and more importantly) will CONTACT them and let them know WHY; ‘progressive’ companies like that only pay attention to money, so you have to hit them in the pocketbook AND let them know why you’re hitting them there if you want to change their behavior. They have absolutely no morality or sense of right and wrong.

Yes, it is exactly the same thing. You act like that is a bad thing or like I haven't done exactly that on other forums before.
As always, I come and go as I please (unless I get kicked out) and the world keeps turning.
Re: The Good, The Bad and... -- The Mandalorian ? ? ?
As a kid, we couldn't watch anything from Disney if Dad was home. He didn't like Disney's views back then.

The show is awesome. But I'll probably cancel Disney+. The fools aren't going to change this idiocy unless they get hit in the wallet.

She is still quite attractive. I heard she already has another project in the works. Good for her. She seems to be smarter than the average actress.
