Blue Wildebeest hunt in TX LOWER PRICE

Post by 86er »

In an attempt to bring a bit of Africa to those who cannot make the trip, I am offering a blue wildebeest hunt in Texas. I have one particular bull that has a broken horn tip. He is very skitish and shy. The hunt will be safari style and will take most of a day or two in order to locate him and make a stalk. I can make this happen for $1850 all inclusive for as many days as necessary to get him. While at the ranch, I would be happy to discount any other species that are of interest. The meat is excellent. You may use any weapon you like but you must be a forum member to participate. Please PM with interest asap.

Do you have a time-frame in mind? I am genuinely interested.

I'd like to get it done soon. We have a ton of fishing clients booked starting in June. With a deposit, I could hold off a month, maybe two. Please let me know.

Aloha Joe, Just curious, what does fishing clients have to do with hunting wildebeest? (it's 5:20 a.am. so mind a tad foggy yet).

Our fishing trips are offered on the Gulf Coast. We bring the boat down to my place in Rockport. The clients drive or fly to Corpus Christi. We stay there Fri afternoon until Sunday afternoon each weekend with the fishing trips. Nobody will be at the ranch to find the Wildebeest. Of course, for FWeidner I would make every effort to break away and take care of the hunt personally. Richard and I have Paul working for us so that should make it easier, but right now he doesn't have much boating experience so he just works as a mate.

The heat and dry weather have me very concerned about the larger animals in particular. I am lowering this price as much as I can to see if it helps someone make the hunt as soon as possible. Several of you PM's me and I wrote back. If you did not receive a reply let me know so we can speak. Thanks

I can not possibly do something like this very soon, if at all....but: what would it cost to ship meat to the Tacoma area? How much meat would be on a beast like that? Just ignorant and asking..... :?:

This is about 170 pound of good meat, not including neck, stew and scrap. It would ship in two coolers to Tacoma area for $324 total shipping, plus $126 processing of the meat, freezer bag sealed and marked.

FYI - if and when I have blue wildebeest I sell these for $3500. This is a rare bargain offered to a forum member only.

If I had the time I'd already be there. I hope somebody saves Griff from his missus! How about Miss Kitty and Dwight?
