Haha it looks like those cigarette boats you see down in Florida. If you Google it, you can see a pic.

They leave one team there all the time. I don't know if its the same one or they rotate.
When my son was there before, he used to hang out and shoot with some of them. They had some little competition shoots and stuff cause it was something to do.
This is where my kid learned the difference between paying to shoot and being paid to shoot. My boy is pretty slick with any kind of shooting iron. Seriously. When he was there before he broke his collar bone a week before the idpa final. He shot it one handed and still got third.
Anyway.....he said he used to shoot 22 pistols with these seal guys. He said they were crazy good. He couldn't beat some of their wives!
I asked him what he used. He said a little Walther p22. I asked what they used. He said they all had Smith 41s haha.

Ok....I forgot about the wind....wind sucks.....

I had a professional photographer come here the other day to take pictures of Captain Nathaniel Herreshoff's Triple Lock Target 44 Spl......getting ready for the big auction coming up in March.......there's going to be around 200 of some of the finest firearms concerning American history going up for sale...I'm selling, hopefully rich guys will be buying. Don't think there's going to be any Rossi's going up for sale.

Wow! That is just awesome buddy. Best of luck to you. I tell ya, if I played the lottery.....and won.....I would come down there and clean you out.
The difference between me and a lot of others is I don't just see a lot of nice guns. I know how much dedication and planning it took to put together a collection like that. Especially because you are younger by at least 30 years than the ones who built good collections in the past. As time goes on, the harder it gets.

Here are a few more of my son. Some of him on the hoist. They lower them into some scary, and beautiful places. He told me the ones he gets pics of are the tame ones. He said some of the places are incredible but he has to be focused and can't stop to take pictures.
Sucks cause his daddy has to live vicariously through him hahaha!
You can see in one picture the knife edge on that island they were going to drop him on. He snapped a quick pic out the door.
I snapped a pic of the C130 they use when they have to fly to the mainland. He used this more the last time he was there. They still do on occasion though.

Naaaa. BAR is waaaaayyy outdated for that kind of work.....I keep a pair of Dillon Mini Guns on each end of the house.....in the living room we have a mounted M-60 and a 249 SAW at the back window.

Whew! When it all hits after Jan. 6th what the hell are the guys with Rossi's gonna do?

Now that is COOL! The picture of the c130 does not do it justice...those planes regularly fly over the gunclub...(must be a base somewhere) and they are HUGE PLANES..

Hey buddy...I'm hitting the sack....feel a lot of gas coming up and I want to surprise mom... :D ---6

Well Six, I always enjoying seeing the fine pieces in your collection. That REAL Trapper is something I have never seen. From Australia you say. Must have been some international diplomacy involved to get that to southeast PA. Well I have to work with what I have and that is my Rossis. I also have Pietta, Uberti and Taurus sixguns to go along. But I do have here a 45 Colt Trapper from about 1989. To go with that, 4 3/4" and 5 1/2" 3rd Gen Colts.

Now back to international diplomacy ... here is one I don't think you have seen. These ladies were from England, just making them feel welcome here in the New World ;-)

OW, please make sure your son knows WE are proud of him and WE appreciate his service!! My chiropractor buddy's son has just signed up for the CG. He want to be on a boarding crew / drug enforcement stuff. Figures he will go to boot in August.

My son did boarding teams for drug interdiction for three years in the Caribbean. He enjoyed the action but it wasn't an easy gig. What he hated was dealing with migrants. It was awful. He has some stories! When was rotating off the cutter, they tried to entice him by offering him HITRON duty (the snipers), but he didn't trust the offer.
He volunteered for two more years sea duty on a buoy tender to take the place of a guy that broke his back. He navigated and did some other jobs but it was easy ssa duty. With 5 years at sea, he has a cuttermans pin. That helps him a lot in future endeavors. Not many have them.

You guys missed aaalllllll the action last night.....me and Jay were bs en away...we smoked a few joints, drank up a bottle of JD.

I told you guys.....Fred's out squeezing the soft stuff...now its foreign soft stuff.....and...and.....he still has that s.e.grin on his face. .....

That's really some cool stuff that Jays son is doing....to him it's an everyday job.....he has more action in a day than I do in a year...
There's a reason why the ones in charge would never put me on a drug interdiction job.....I have ZERO use for these individuals and Id bust out the twin fifties and waste em right in the water........no trial......nuttin and as a few older family members used to tell me, "let em swim wth the fish".

"Up with daylight" huh? That S is for the farmers and forklift drivers who did it for 44 years.

Now....what am I gonna get into today?

I asked him if the drug runners ever put up a fight. He said no, as they know the CG is just looking for an excuse to blow them out if the water. He did say the almost always try and run but when you crank a burst of 50s across the bow they change their minds real quick.
The CG has the loosest engagement rules of any branch or enforcement agency. The manuals have not been updated since the late 1800s and they keep it that way.
If the Navy stops a ship it's an act of war, so the Navy will sometimes keep CG personnel on board so they can get away with more.

Here are a few from an abandoned lighthouse. The CG used to man these facilities up till about the late 80s. Now they are all automated and just need maintenance. He said it is really weird and looked like something from a post-apocalyptic movie. They just walked away and left everything. He said you could tell boredom took its toll on the people stationed there. Very remote.

Jay....super! .....one of my favorite things to do is to go through old places and root around.......looks like they just up and left.....you did say that.........pool table for the taking......wood...supplies.....

You figure, that place was manned for many years and combine that with boredom which leads to abstract and paranoid thinking which leads to lots of hiding places.......

......and you CAN bet there was a lot of hiding going on...with guys hiding the salami with their buddies. The same way why Greece lost many battles when there were brothers in the same unit....when it was time to retreat, many guys couldn't leave their brothers behind. :D (get it?)

That kind of a life would lead me to deep depression.....we all need interaction ....some more than others...I'm pretty much low on the list and consider Leverguns about all I need.....

Thank you for taking the time to post those...later on I'll spend more time examining each one...

Fred....the '92 trapper was not mine......personally I was leery of it...it had a 14" barrel but I did not have the time to examine it close for the barrel roll mark which is different than 20" guns, along with different front wood.......

But on a brighter note, I took your car to Earl Sheib and paid for the $39.99 paint job they used to advertise back in the sixties....

Cool Challenger OS!

Hey Six. I figured sure you'd spot the bottle of Johnny Walker on the pool table. :D
It looked to me like there was enough wood and stuff left there in case weather went bad and the crew was stranded for a few days.
My kid said the place was surreal.

I wish he could get pics of all the places he goes.
I had one he took of himself at the top of a 600 foot antenna he was working on back in 2011.

Ain't dat somethin'! I saw the can of Coors and wondered why it didn't freeze and split.....

You want to hear something weird? Well, your gonna hear it anyway.....remember a year or two ago people in the US were receiving seeds in the mail and it was finally tracked to some Chinese website? We got some of those seeds and I didn't know what they were so I waited until it got dark and planted them on my neighbors property.....never did see what they were....

Today I go to da post office to get the mail.

Along wit the general junk mail is a package addressed to us....unsolicited .....so we open it and in there is a nice plastic mug.
I look up the return address and find other people are getting the same thing. Better Business Bureau says it's some Chinese company that has bad reviews......what bother me is the way they wrote our address.....we use a different way of wording it so if a company is using USPS, UPS, FED EX. etc,it will get here or the post office....long story, don't think into it.....

Well, this company must have hacked into our amazon account because that's how it was written.....ya need a beer mug?--

I'd toss that thing in the recycling bin, its probably radioactive!!

My BIL just stopped by to drop off Christmas presents, he works for a trucking company. He is in charge of maintenance of the trucks/ lifts. Anyhow they are having this chicom virus problem pretty bad, one driver got sick in September, within days on a respirator. Now he is home but can't get from 1 end of the house to the other without an O² bottle!

Know what Dad said about Coors lite?

Hell, if it has alcohol in it, I'd drink it....in my drunk days.....stale, sour, 2%, 99%, legal, illegal, mixed with Hawaiian Punch, old, new, mine, other people's, I didn't care...

Anyway, on to important items. I called the Secret Sevice up today for an escort to Fort Knox where I keep a certain gun. I wanted to get it out for a photo session and real safekeeping. After pushing a few tons of cheap gold bullion to the side I found it where I left it. Decided to get it before Biden takes office.

Beer stinks to me. All of it. I am just not a beer drinker.
Kind of neat to see those abandoned sites.

Some Coast Guard ships use a 20mm auto-cannon. Trying to run from them is just not smart. The 50 cal BMG rounds will tear up almost anything that floats other than Carriers, Battleships, and Cruisers. If you think your 40 0r 50 foot speedboat will survive a couple of bursts of 50 BMG or 20 mm, you are seriously deluded. Coast Guard ships may not be able to hit 70 knots, but those 50 BMG rounds are trucking along about 2,000 knots. Maybe 1,900 knots, but I will bet on the 1,900 knots versus the 70 knots every single time.

I like Zinfandel, and also White Zinfandel. Red wines are sometimes too dry for me, but a good Zin is a nice complement to lots of things.

Six you better take it back, Eral missed a few spots!

Wine is not my cup of tea, to me all it tastes like is vinegar, doesn't matter if white or red. However, brandy isn't bad!

Well more Windows to install today. What we have left to put in are bigger than existing. Same width but taller, easy swap as we just need to cut the sill framing, lower the jack studs, set the new window, 4 more like that. This homeowner is having the whole house done, bathrooms, floors, paint, doors , windows & trim. Got 1 bathroom gutted and the tile guy did his thing- owner didn't like it and tossed him off the job. Now another guy is tearing it all out to do it over! That is putting us farther behind.

It's going to be a rough winter......Geeze, people are dropping off like flies...2500 A DAY...I said it for many years that if something hits us like some plague, I ain't going no where.....

Actually it's not....it's a $35 Valley Forge flag.....it's all I buy and I fly one next to the house and another towards the end of the driveway....they usually last 2 years after a coat of lacquer to seal the threads......for a flag to get this bad it has to fly for a couple of months. ...it was fine two weeks ago...it came apart that fast and as far as I'm concerned it's an omen after the election....

Or it was tampered with! That's my bet...

Rain& lots of it on the way! Flood warnings up. Not going to be good with the snow on the ground.

Got a reply from IMR. I asked if 800x was indeed discontinued, yes it is. They claimed lack of demand and that Longshot powder is the reason/ replacement of 800x . I tried Longshot and wasn't overly impressed by it in my 28 ga.

Found out the neighbor that I helped , who recently passed, house put on the market has sold in 3 days.

Coffee is especially tasty this morning.

Never tried 800 x. Have used Longshot. In pistols it is OK. 20 gauge, so-so.

800x in the 41 is nice, also works well in 28ga( I shoot a lot of 28) I have used Longshot in my 28 loads but find it dirty, 800x much cleaner.

Boy am I glad I'm NOT one of these gluten free people- these gluten free pretzels SUCK!

One day, if I became rich like Old Savage I'm gonna buy me an Apache helicopter just for cruising around. Did you know you can buy one but without the armaments and specialized radar, etc....

On a serious note you ever see John Travolta's house where he has his own runway and corporate jet? He parks it right up to the house. I'd have the same thing except the plane would be an Apache gunship, complete with the 20 mm chain gun.....

Almost dark....the dogs want to do their run out back and I can go back to reality....a peon in the woods with a few leverguns... :D
