This is the best possible outcome I could imagine. The Marlin Firearms might now return to some semblance of normal . :D .

I wonder how long before the Marlin/Ruger 336 hits the shelves. I'm needing another 30-30...

Hope they bring out a line of cartridges based on the 338 ME round. At least maybe a 7mm ME!! Almost would be like a rimmed 284Win.

I am so glad, this is great news. I've been a Marlin fanboy forever. I own more Marlins than any other levergun. I wish someone bailed out Winchester back in 2007 (I think) as Ruger is rescuing Marlin... :)

I hope that Ruger makes better quality than Remington did.

OK, now we have John Marlin Marlins, Remington Marlins, and now we'll have Ruger Marlins.

Hmmmm, get (some) one of each and have a collection.

I would sure like to see a rebirth of the Texan 336 carbine.

I am hoping Ruger assesses and addresses the quality issues and I would kinda like to see a Marlin branded model 96/44.

Both sound like good ideas to me.
I would like to see Ruger fix the quality control issues Remlins had.
