Different but still a lever gun.

Post by Stan in SC »

At a recent Greenville,SC gun show I spied a new looking Ruger Model 96/44 carbine.I couldn't help but take it home with me.I already have an older semi automatic Ruger .44 magnum carbine and this looks just like it except for the lever.
I took it to the range the next Wednesday(my usual day) and was very pleased when I shot three rounds at 100 yards, two of which were touching and the other I pulled about 1/4" to the left. This little lever gun is a shooter!
I have it sitting in the safe next to the Marlin 1895 and that makes it look tiny.But...it's still a lever gun.

Since you've upgraded to the lever, if'n you don't want that Deerfield any more, I can think of a bunch of guys in Indiana who are looking for one...

Cograts on the gun, and a good shooter to boot.

It's got a lever... it's a gun... that makes it a levergun.

Don't want to semi carbine anymore?

Post by Stan in SC »

Old Ironsights,The semi carbine is the older model, not the newer "Deerfield" model.I reckon I better hang on to it for awhile.
