Went out to eat. Had to pay separately for the drinks. I ordered 1 Corona and 2 Hurricanes. Price was S20.20!

Did they tell you about the coin shortage and want to round it off? Which of course means up. Imagine it's only 80 cents for you. No big deal. Now multiply it times all of the customers and suddenly the eatery is making a bunch more money. And how can they ever get coins back in circulation if they don't circulate them?

Well, the way my son-in law explained to me is, they is no coin shortage. government pretty much wants all money transferred electronically now so they can keep track of who is spending what , (aka, so people cant get away with paying taxes such as making money under the table!) I guess this might hold true in about twenty years, but as long as the treasury is printing money and coin, it won't happen any time soon.jeepnik wrote: ↑Sun Aug 30, 2020 4:13 pm Did they tell you about the coin shortage and want to round it off?
