Bummer, thought you were gonna send pics of a Reticulated python or Black Mamba in your back yard.
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

250 Savage... its what the 223 wishes it could be...!

Bring it down to about the price of a Smith and I might be interested. Maybe.

They certainly are collectible but IMHO, they were never the equal of the Smith and Wesson as a shooter. I shot a lot of combat matches back in the 80's when it was not that uncommon to see a Python in a gunshop, at a little higher price then a comparable Smith, and I could have used them, as also, most other competitors could have, but looking back I don't remember a single person that used one, although I am sure someone must have.

They did not have a good double action trigger pull, and seemed to stack up pretty bad as you pulled through just like most of the smaller Colt double actions. They could be shot reasonably well but I always felt like the Smith K's and L frames had a much better double action trigger that could also be tweaked into a really good trigger, with not much effort. If I had felt like the Python was better, I would have been buying and shooting them. The Walking Dead is what really put the Python on the Collector's List, IMHO, although they were always a beautifully finished handgun, and never cheap.

I have always thought that the Smith model 19 was one of the best looking and most comfortable to shoot handguns ever made. Personal preference.

They're nice, to be sure!

But I could buy 3 or 4 really nice used S&W or Ruger revolvers for that price. :)

Or buy a nice GP100 and have it converted to 41 Special by Mr. Bowen......... 8)

Or maybe 2 Ruger SAs converted to 41 Special by Mr. Bowen....... 8)
