New Winchester 1894 drilled and tapped

Post by olsingleshot »

I bought one of the new Winchester 1894 in .25-35 and I noticed the strap in front of the ejection port is drilled and tapped twice as if for a scope base. The metal on either side of the ejection port also is drilled and tapped once on each side. Can anyone tell what these are for?

Winchester started D&T'ing for scope mounts in the early 80's when they went to the AE models.
