Self isolation photographs UK Rat added.

Post by gamekeeper »

This is where I live at the moment, walking around with a gun 7 days a week instead of just 4 is something I will have to put up with for a while. If only I had some rabbits and a few more squirrels...

'Tis beautiful countryside John! Thanks for sharing.

It reminded me of these lyrics from a classic Emerson, Lake & Palmer song...

"Jerusalem", an old English poem from the early 1800's, with the music/hymn written in 1916.

And did those feet in ancient time,
Walk upon England's mountains green?
And was the Holy Lamb of God
On England's pleasant pastures seen?

But then I thought I saw Nath in full camo hiding over in the bushes...

No but we burn brushwood where ever it's convenient, so cooking outdoors is occasionally done, a couple of years ago I showed the landlords Aussie grandkids how to cook sausages on a campfire their English parents are townies. . .

I just read that in the major cities , NYC, Seattle and others that the rats are beginning to cannibalize the weaker rats with lack of food from restaurants. I suppose we could send over a bunch of these city rats to your fine English countryside for your sport shooting ?

There was a similar critter striking the same pose just in front of Esperanza's van when I went to the shop this morning. My guess is the dogs, (we have 5) left him there.

Looks wonderful John.

Thinks are very green where I live. Other than the yellow pollen caked on everything!

Cutting the lawn twice a week right now. It was sunny in the low 70's here today, though I was stuck inside working!

I sat on the fence too long and the CZ went and discontined their entire line of FS rifles. Have always liked the fullstock rifles. Will keep an eye out for a used one :)

GK, I have the perfect rat rifle for you !! Its been 25 years in the making , now it's about 98% complete! English walnut, a classic Mauser 98 BUT I've opened it up to hold 3 in the box and 1 in the hole with a 2-7 x scope, in what other than 375 H&H. Just perfect for rats of all types with 10.0 of 700x and a 270 gr gas check cast bullet!
