How Do You Burn Through Most Of Your .22 Rimfire?
Most of mine go through my Single Six, or MKII Government Target Model....Both are just about pop can accurate at 100 yds on one of my good days.... I have an old WWII-ish Winchester 72 that I've never shot on paper, but it's never missed a squirrel, or much else either. There's a '68 Browning .22 Auto that I don't care much for because it doesn't fit me very good...the comb is too high. I have a 9422 and 9422M that are the apples of my eye, even tho I don't shoot them too much. And, one of them new-fangled Ruger 10-22 take downs that I really haven't put through it paces enough to decide if it's for me or not, but it's sure quick on target with that Bushnell Red Dot on it. Between the Single Six Mag Cyl, and the 9422M I doubt that I've put five hundred thru the both of them together, tho, the Rifle has a One Ragged Hole rear sight, and is very accurate at around 100-ish yards. Oh, and a little Ruger 101 in .22....All I can say is HoHum...it's accurate, but doesn't really trip my trigger much, but Uncle Sugar doesn't know about it, so.... There's also a beautiful Diana Side Lever .22, but, as you know it's not rimfire. But, that sucker hits hard, and with the Bushnell red dot piles them cheap Crossman pellets on on top of the other at 50-ish feet.

Most of mine go through a Volquartsen at ground squirrels, then a Ruger MIII government model and last but not least a Springfield M2 22.

Plinking with either my nylon 66 or my Marlin 39a. Enjoy shooting at our 300yd gongs with open sights, with the Marlin. Should scope it as my 67 yr old eyes aren't near as good as they used to be.

Ruger Mark II tapered 6 inch, and Henry lever action. Both are as accurate as I can possibly shoot and have never given one jam.

Martini-Greener .22lr, a couple of Ruger MKIIs and Savage MKII. The Savage gets a lot of use in the back yard with CCI Quiet loads.

I just can't help myself. Maybe some day I'll wear it out, but I doubt it.

90% of mine goes down the bores of my single shot rifles. The other 10% goes through a few target handguns I own just plinking. All of it goes towards targets, as I haven't hunted with my .22's in decades.

30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

Ruger 96 is the Starling gun next to the deck door. Plinking is done with Ruger 22/45 and Marlin model 39. I have plenty more to shoot but those are the go to guns.

I don't burn through my 22 rf, I let it age in storage. The 22 rf just underwhelms me, I use 410s and pistol caliber leverguns for plinking and small game.

Ruger Single-Six (4 5/8" barrel), Ruger LCR-22, and a Henry Carbine (16" barrel)...I shoot .22-cal every week...keeps me honest... :)
Re: How Do You Burn Through Most Of Your .22 Rimfire?
Winchester 1890 and a High Standard HD Military for plinking, mostly at steel. A Sentinel does trapline duty.

Prairie dogs and soup cans, mostly.
Have you hugged your rifle today?

Me too. My club started up again without me while I'm still in Florida. At least I'll make the first pistol cartridge lever match.

Re: How Do You Burn Through Most Of Your .22 Rimfire?
I drive over to the local indoor pistol range.
I put a target at 10 yards.
I load 8 10-rd magazines for my Ruger 22/45 pistol.
Boom times 80.
Repeat.
For variation:
I put a target at 20 yards.
I load 18 into the tube feed of a Glenfield Model 60 semi-auto rifle.
Boom times 18.
Repeat.

Re: How Do You Burn Through Most Of Your .22 Rimfire?
My old Glenfield 60 started to lose accuracy. I got one of Paco's AcuRZR tools. Man what a difference. It came back to what it had been when I bought it used as a fifteen year old. I cannot count how many bricks of ammo that thing has gone through. I used to go through 2 or 3 bricks every weekend for years. Kept me away from trouble.
