POLITICS - Bush on Appeasement

Post by Grizz »

Bush tells it like it is

the appeasers in congress wretch

it's about time

http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar ... s-iss.html
In a speech to Israel's Knesset, Bush said: "Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along.

"We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: 'Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided.' We have an obligation to call this what it is—the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history."
hussein and pelosi are both owning up to this by denying it. Bush never named anyone, but both of those commies immediately started whining about Bush talking about them.

that's about as good a confession as any LEO ever sweated out of any bad guy, proving that those two are bad guys for sure, by their own admission.

gotta love it. I guess they didn't see the video on keeping your mouth shut...

or to paraphrase shakespeare, methinks the scum-sucking commie appeasers protest too loudly. they're guilty, guilty, guilty by their unsought denials...

AND IT JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER :

Thanks for the heads up Grizz. This is funny to watch as Obama tries to suddenly backpeddle. Funnier still is the reporters trying their hardest to get McCain to say anything that hang him out to dry by putting words in his mouth.

McCain may not be the best presidential material, but he knows what he's doing and he shows the others for the childish rookies they are.

As for Bush he said that 7 years ago and the demoncraps whined then. What will it take for the voters of this country to realize the demoncraps are totally wrong for this country?

McCain was far from being my 1st choice, but he is a skyscraper against obama or hillary. If one of those get in, hopefully the contry will survive and see the damage and elect a worthy person in 4 years.
I, as everybody else hate the illegal problem and am dissapointed with mcCain on that issue. But this thing has gotten so far out of hand I dont see what can be solved short of a new hitler takeing over and putting trains together and running them back to the border!
The way I would handel it, is to go into mexico and clean their house for them, and probley all the illegals would go back under their own power!
Unfortunately neither will be allowed or done------yet!

Is it just possible that he was telling the Israelis what he thinks they want to hear while scoring political points at home.

An Israeli opinion:
"It was an embarrassing speech, a collection of slogans that somebody wrote for him in order to be nice to Israel, or what he thinks is Israel, and to steer well clear of anything concrete," said Israeli lawmaker Yossi Beilin, a key architect of the Oslo peace accords.

"It's a shame and a scandal, in my opinion."

In his speech Bush said that Palestinians would have a homeland and people in the Middle East will live in "free and independent societies."

Bush added, "a desire for peace will be reinforced by ties of diplomacy and tourism and trade."

But he didn't discuss how to achieve Bushtopia........

People say what they think the people they want to like them want to hear.

If Bush told it like it was he'd say were hanging onto Iraq because we want to be the ones directing their future, for whatever reasons, but its not because he cares about them.

Now, I'm not saying it would be better with one of the current Dem's in charge. I think, despite the rhetoric, they all want the same thing but go about it differently. What theyre all working towards is a bigger gov't, lesser rights & freedoms for us & a steady movement towards the socialist type gov'ts doing so splendidly in Europe. Bush did a couple good things, but we are more restricted & less free as he finnishes his tenure than when he started. Might just be me but domestic policy is much more important from my view than foreign. Heck, the Iraqis have our military protecting our rights while congress is here whittling ours & our lovely Republican President signs on the dotted line like a good boy.

I saw Bush's speech on cspan tonight. In no way was he talking about hussein/clinton/pelosi triangle of appeasment.

The dums took it entirely out of context and THEY OWNED IT.

They're so guilty they actually owned up to being appeasers. This is the highlight of their campaign so far. I can't wait to hear their spin on the spin on their spin, if they ever figure out they just owned up to being APPEASERS.

If you get a chance to see Bush speak on tv or the internet should have copies, I encourage you to watch it. It's nothing like what the dumbocrats have misconstrued, but boy Howdy, I'm so glad they did.

Didn't republican President negotiate with Libya re nuclear weapons and Lockerby while Libya was still considered a terrorist country?Negotiation, appeasement different words. Good guys, bad guys, "our bad guys" eg various dictators past and present under wing of U.S. including at one time even old Saddam.I think things not black and white as folks would like to think, all puns intended.
