Anyone have a drill I can borrow to do a reline on a 22?
Don't really want to spend the $100 this month and want
to have another option for a new shooter. I can have it
done for about $150 but want to do this one myself. It
may be used to indoctrinate my niece into shooting/hunting.
I will eventually try restocking this one also as it has a
couple screws in the wrist.
Anyone recommend one liner over another? I will be relining
a 1890s Stevens Favorite.

$150 is pretty cheap to have someone else do it.
What will it cost to DIY, $50 for a liner, chamber reamer unless you have one then its another fifty sixty bucks, do you have a lathe or are you planning on doing it with a hand drill? Finishing off the muzzle/ breech end; a 2 minute job in a lathe
Epoxy another ten bucks or so. In my mind you’re not saving much, and would save you a lot of headache.

I want to start getting together the tools and doing repairs,
rebuilds myself. I have 2 motorcycles and a truck project
that will need to get done before I get my own lathe & mill.
Might just put this one off til later in the year, if niece decides
to get serious then I would like to rebuild it for her, maybe
Christmas or her b-day next year.
