OT-Euroarms of America muzzleloaders...opinions?

Post by awp101 »

Trying to decipher the congolmeration of Eye-talian imports when it comes to black podwer weapons seems to require a Rosetta Stone of it's own... :?

How does Euroarms of America compare to Pedersoli, etc?

Thanks! :D

Pedersoli is the best of Italian muzzleloading reproductions.

From my fuzzy memory, doesn't Euro Arms use parts from various Italian manufactures? Wish I could help you out here....no experience.

Are you trying to emulate any particular time or part of history?

Not really, I've just been poking around various dealer websites and I don't know enough about any of the to know which manufacturers to look for and who to avoid other than possibly IAB (at least on their Sharps copies from what I've read).

BTT -

Not sure myself - but I'm also interested in the answers. Hobie is right - Pedersoli makes the best of the Italian-produced reproductions. I have two - an 1874 Sharps Heavy Target model and an 1766 Charleville, and the quality is outstanding. Uberti (now owned by Beretta) is next IMHO and not far off.

If Pedersoli made the model I saw that has piqued my interest, I'd have no problem but it looks like it's a Euroarms only bit and I don't want to drop the kind of cash being asked by the distributor without some solid intel on EA's rep.

No, I ain't spillin' the beans yet either...
