OT - Blade Show 2008, anyone? There be Bowies...

Post by Rexster »

The Blade Show near Atlanta will be May 30-June 1, at the Cobb Galleria Convention Center. It is both a trade show for production knives, and a place for custom makers and suppliers of knifemaking stuff to show their products and work. I am still trying to decide whether to make the 800-mile drive from SE Texas; while it's a nice road trip, with stuff to see and do along the way, fuel cost is a major factor this year. I mostly go to visit friends who happen to like knives, so I am basing my decision largely on who will be there this year, and thus far, many old friends have not said they were going this time. Anyone here planning to be there?

I had to search for the site; having been before, and with so much discussion of it on knife-related forums, I've had no need to look it up myself for several years.

No firearms, but blades of all types, from repros of ancient stuff to modern. There will be numerous forged Bowies and such to interest lever folks. I love this event, but at 800+ miles, I don't try to go every year.
