Factory New 32 Winchester Special
According to the Winchester site, Winchester is offering their Model '94 in 32 Winchester Special for 2018. They are built by Miroku, of course, and are pricey at over $1300.

Maybe now, someone besides Hornady will make brass.

Since I already have a pre-64 Winchester M94 - and - a Marlin M336 I don't think I'll be interested....

Re: Factory New 32 Winchester Special
I have always admired the 32 Winchester Special "from afar"...meaning I've never owned one, but have given some thought to acquiring one from time to time. A buddy of mine has an original that is a sweet rifle but since it's a family heirloom, and the rifle he killed his first deer with...that one ain't going no place, and I completely understand.
That said...I see this offering from Winchester, and some recent commentary on Miroku rifles seemingly for and against.
I'd be curious to know how some folks with actual EXPERIENCE owning both an original American made model and a Miroku would compare and contrast them.
I also have to agree that $1300.00 for a NON-original is pretty steep. Heck...what do original "shooter condition" 32's sell for..???

Re: Factory New 32 Winchester Special
The only Miroku I own is an older Browning 92. It's nice and shoots well but doesn't have the "feel".
I have a bunch of original Winchester carbines and one rifle in 32WS. I have a 1936 Marlin in 32 also. I really like the cartridge and all mine are good shooters. The one rifle I have is one of the most accurate Winchesters I've ever owned.
In my opinion, you could get a nice original for a lot less than 1300. For me, I'd rather a nice, tight, no finish pre-war example than a new production one.

Re: Factory New 32 Winchester Special
What he said ^
My .32 Specials are a ca. 1949 Marlin 336 A-DL and a ca. 1960 Winchester 94. I have much less than 1300 invested in the 2 of them and they are fine specimens.
I also have several Miroku made leverguns and they are also very fine guns. But you can't say a Miroku or a Winchester is better than the other in general.
I have an original W71 that is very nice, but my B71 is very close to the original and more accurate.
I've got a Miroku 1873 in .357 that is very true to the original in design.
Most of the Miroku 94s being made now are AE, have a tang safety and rebounding hammer.
I'm glad they are making them but I wouldn't give 1100 to 1300 for one. Got no problem with someone else doing so if that's what they want.

Thanks for taking time to share your experiences.
Re: Factory New 32 Winchester Special
I have three 32 Win levers and have taken dozens of white tail with them. I have a pre-war and two pre-64 carbines. I absolutely love the cartridge. I shoot my own reloads mostly, but keep a dozen boxes of factory loads in a stash.
I’ve come to expect one shot kills, but if I ever need a second shot the Winchester 94 delivers.

Likewise.
Too much lawyers junk (tang safety, rebounding hammer) & too much $$.
