The papers over in this neck of the woods are describing your elections as a "blood bath" for Labor. What's happening???? Inquiring minds and all that...

Yep, it's all but over for labour

The conservatives have whupped there back sides. The conservative leader is a hunter too

If they do get in we may get rid of the current commi oppressive stereo typing idiot socialists we have at the moment!

Wow! I'm starting to think that there may be hope for things to get better for you on that side of the pond. I was amazed at the video Hobie posted on his site showing a protest parade in favor of restoring gun rights (Shooting With Hobie). Could common sense be making a come back???

Just read the new London mayor (Johnson?) being quoted as saying; "Let's get cracking tomorrow. Let's have a drink tonight!" Looks like you may have a winner there...

These were local council elections. I think the government has two years in which to call a general election. That may provide some time to regroup but I doubt that they'll hold power.

If you select "Quote" above the message you want to quote, you can then edit it by erasing the parts you don't want to quote. Also, make sure that at the beginning of the text you are quoting you have

quote surrounded by [] brackets. at the end of the text you quote,

/quote - again surrounded by [] brackets. the /quote part denotes that this is the end of the quoted section.

Also, you can highlight text in the message editing window and then click the "Quote" button above the window. This will put the appropriate code at the beginning and end of the text. Or, you can put the cursor at the beginning of the text and click the quote button and then move the cursor to the end of the text and click again...

The main thing is to make sure that the appropriate code is at the beginning and the end of the text being quoted. Special care needs to be taken when quoting multiple people in one big quote since each quoted section must have its code placed in the appropriate place to take effect. And no spaces between the code and the text, especially if inserting images.

Also, you can go in and edit the message you just wrote, look for the edit button on your message. Another thing that helps when in doubt is to use the "Preview" button instead of "Post Message" - this gives you a chance to make sure it looks like you wanted it to. Then you can either modify the message or click on the "Post Message" button to post what you just saw.
