OT - 10 years ago...

Post by Ysabel Kid »

...I was with my wife at the hospital as we waited for our first born to arrive. He would come the next day - May 2, 1998 - at 5:06am. We were up all night - but it was worse on my wife, as she had been up the entire night before as well, racking up a total of 34 hours of labor!!!

It's a miracle we had another after that!!!

Can't believe my little boy is hitting double digits tomorrow. Man the time flies by so fast. I can remember my Dad always saying how fast time flew. I thought he was nuts. A school day seemed to drag forever... the school week horrendously long, and a school year an eternity of unrelenting boredom! Now I know what he meant. Every time I blink another month flies by...

Here he is last summer (he was 9 years old) at his grandfather's (my FIL) house...

Happy Birthday Ysabel Kid's Kid (i.e., "Gannon")!!! :D :D :D

BTW, I showed him the post by Sixgun Jr. and gamekeeper junior, and he tried to join the levergun forum. Boy was he UPSET when he found out you have to be 13 to register! I told him not to worry - I was sure that "Ysabel Kid's Kid" would still be around in three years!!!

Congratulations! That's quite an accomplishment.

I have a little milestone as well, ten years ago this month I came to California to live, so far so good.

Ysabel,

You only have to be thirteen or older to join without parental authorization. :) So if you'll send me an e-mail with authorization I'd be happy to set him up. You'd also have to have a separate e-mail account though, so it could get complicated. Only one username per e-mail address...

There's a country song popular now, with a line about "Don't Blink" cause time will pass before you know it. Both boys are grown, and I don't see them near enough. Enjoy him while you can, and "Don't Blink".
