Service pictures
Lets see some of your service pictures, here`s one of me at Luke AFB Arizona.
Reason I`m out of uniform is because my parents came for a visit so we took a picture off duty.
I was a crew chief on the F-4 Phantom.

Hey Pitchy, what is that one? I worked F-4D's at Moody AFB early 80's, F-4E's at WPAFB later on, and even assisted Louisville nat'l guard on their C's when I was TDY.
I was avionics, electronic warfare.
That brings back memories. Firing up the -60 for electric and air to start, light carts late at night when we were working write-ups.
As a crew chief, how many black powder cart starts did you ever do?

+1 On both counts! The Phantom was my favorite plane growing up. The first model I ever built on my own was the F4J...

None for me, I'm afraid -- but I'm grateful for all others who have served -- and are still serving today.
Since he's been gone exactly 10 years just 1 week from today (2/1), I hope you can allow me to post a pix of my late father in a P47 Thunderbolt (B model) over in England -- back when it wasn't so jolly.

Re: Service pictures
Griff,
That picture sure looks a whole lot different than you do today. I can't believe that's the same guy I was spitting lead with over the summer.
I hate getting old. It ain't no fun unless we can retain the same look. I'm forty percent heavier and forty percent lower in the hair area. Why can't we just look and live like we did when we were twenty?
THATS IT!!! I'm gonna go to the gun club tomorrow and blow out three hundred rounds from the BAR.....then stop at the T bar. Six.
Well, I don't have any service pictures. I guess the fact that I have one eye had something to do with it. But......I partied anyway.
Like plenty of Winchesters I had a couple of cars too....an orange '63 Nova and a '68 RS/SS 350 Camaro. Yep, that's my sweet Italian wife next to me.----6

Nope, I was several days, ~3,124.62 miles from combat, and fully recovered from a wound... thanking my lucky stars that I was alive, had stories to tell, and was going to see my wife in a few days!
Why Sixgun! Whatever do you mean? I still look just like that! My wife sez so all the time!

Well I guess you still could have raced. Maybe wouldn't have win though haha.
When we was kids, a buddy of mine had a 75 Duster all done up. Problem was, it only had a slant 6 in it hahaha. Needless to say, we didn't win any races!

I really liked that car along with my 70 Chevelle SS which would be worth a pretty penny now days.
I paid 450 for the 54 and 1,800 for the SS.

Re: Service pictures
The sad thing about that SS was I sold it to a guy on the base and about a week later he drove it on the base and it caught fire and burned to the ground.
Here`s some pics of the SS.
And a picture of that wrecked Sporty after I got it fixed up, ended up riding it back to MN.

Thanks buddy, didn`t seem like a long ride at the time but would be now.
After I got home with it I put a weld on hardtail and a girder fork then in 79 rode it back too California and home again.
Of coarse had to stop in Phoenix at a old hangout and get drunk with the line chief that was sitting at the bar in the same place he was in 76
