Speaking of new Rugers
Boy the Ruger 1911 in 10 mm sure looks like a doozy.
Jeff Quinn likes it.

Re: Speaking of new Rugers
The weight is a deal breaker for me at 40.4oz's. For all day carry, I have become spoiled by the Glock. Otherwise the ruger looks like a dandy. Colt has a new Delta Elite out with a rail.
Re: Speaking of new Rugers
While that's stout no doubt weight and carry do not concern me . About the only time I might carry it would be hunting season and that's while I'm hunting . So for my own use I could deal with it I believe .

Re: Speaking of new Rugers
I don't have anything in 10mm. That is in the list of situations to be remedied. No particular reason or need, but then, need has long been covered for almost any situation I could possibly get into.

That RUGER looks very nice. I have a Glock 20 and it's my "hunting in the woods pistol". It's a great option too, I like the 15+1n capacity, and the recoil is very manageable, shoots great... :)
Re: Speaking of new Rugers
First-shot accuracy is all that has ever mattered to me.
I've had a few 10mm bottom-feeders since the Delta came out, but the best-of-breed was the EAA Witness Elite - an all-stainless CZ design that would put the first XTP 200gr into a coffee cup at 50 measured yards from a decent rest. I used to win lunch money on a bet at the range with that pistol!
That is hunting accuracy for the ethically-minded hunter. A tree stand pistol worth good leather. (Just don't forget your hearing protection!)

Re: Speaking of new Rugers
A few years ago I decided I really really needed a 10mm pistol and went for a Glock 20 SF....
For some reason or other I just have not bonded with my 10mm G20. It ain't the pistol or the brand. I like Glocks and my G20 shoots fine. I have not had much issue finding 10mm ammunition either. Maybe it's the 10mm chambering itself? The 10mm is definitely more gun than a .357 mag...but it's not a .44 mag equal either. I'm keeping the Glock 20 for sure and figure that possibly a set of reloading dies and a little work with the gun and the caliber may bring me around.

I had a Glock 20 as well, but sold it. I had zero complaints about the Glock or the 10mm, but it just never caught my fancy for some reason.
