The last "big" scoot is history. A nice young fellow is getting his first bike, and I sold him a good 'un.
I just didn't feel comfortable riding any longer. Sadly, getting older means shedding some toys. Eventually, I'll get a decent camper for the new F250, so I think I made a decent choice for long trips, especially with the cost of boarding Odie.
I still have a little 125cc Zuma that I'll clean up and start taking out to see if I really want it or not.
All you Old fanny burbs still riding, be safe.

Yeah getting older sucks at times! I traded my Rebel for a 30 mm AR tactical scope. Wasn't a bad deal, but I miss it. Todd/3leg
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres
250 Savage... its what the 223 wishes it could be...!

People have taken their little Scooters all over the USA. The dang seat on mine is like riding a rail fence.

It is a passage, to be sure - I sold my last bike ( a 1973 Norton Commando) almost 20 years ago, because I developed sudden bouts of vertigo (most likely an inner ear issue).
I figured that the last thing I wanted was for it to strike me in the middle of a high-speed turn, when I would be leaning the bike severely.
My HS English teacher put over 100,000 ROAD miles on a CB400.
Paul is happy with his 350 Bullet.
It's all in what you aim to accomplish.

I`m 62 and been riding since I was 10, can`t remember a year that I didn`t have a bike recon I`ll have one till I die.
Might not be able to ride it some day but that's ok I`ll just look at the old friend.

Still got my Harley. Don't ride it much and contemplated selling it. I could finish my Jeep up and buy some cool guns, but once it's gone I won't be able to justify another.
Guess I will hang onto it for a while.
"Oh bother", said Pooh, as he chambered another round.
Blaine, ever looked a Harley (or Honda) 3-wheelers? Or even a Can-Am Spider? I've had the itch for a while now 'cause I got a bum knee that folds up when I don't want it to. I visualized coming to a stop, putting down my right foot for balance and winding up on my side, under my bike.

I thought about it, and really like the idea of a decked out Harley Trike, but I'd still have to board the dog on long trips.

Shedding a tear with you. I never get excited over cars - some PU's excite me, but nothing like a cool bike.
Had to get rid of mine years ago for financial reasons; and when I got flush, a back injury put the kabosh on ever riding again. I found that I just can't get off the two-wheel giggle machine once I mount it. No "will-not" power once I'm on a bike.
Miss my "rice burner" Honda 750, and would have moved to one of those bigger "Thunder Under" rides had my back not gone out.
I still drool at the bikes, like a dog that sees a bone. That's life.

I ve got one last bike in me and it's going to be one of the new Triumph bobbers ,it s going to be my running around town bike as my long distance bike trips are over
Mine has been sitting in the garage taking up space for 5 years now, without even being started Blaine! Every time I walk past it I think I should sell it, but then it sits another year instead. I'll never ride it again, but too lazy to get it sold.
I still have my 98 HD Wide glide, and also the 2004 Road King. I don't ride that much anymore, just errands or for a couple of hours of loafing.
I like the handling better on the old Wide Glide and as I get near retirement I know I will need to cut down on spending, so I am considering selling the Road King, and putting the money back, for tires, and maintenance to keep the Wide Glide on the road. But I can't hardly see being totally without a Harley, as least for now.
