First Meeting with a Levergunner Here on Island

Post by GANJIRO »

Just returned from a nice dinner with fellow Leverguns Forum member Les Staley and his wife Darlene, my wife Vandi joining me. Spent a couple hours on the Honolulu Harbor waterfront talking guns, hunting, family, etc. a very enjoyable evening before their flight home. We had dinner at Don Ho's Grill. Interesting how you have allot more in common than just leverguns once you start talking. Les had a great Safari on the "Forbidden Isle" of Ni'ihau but that's his story. Here's a picture from tonight. :D

It is neat to finally meet friends from the forum, isn't it. Sounds like a good time!

Dang, I sure missed a good one. My family and I just returned after spending 10 days Maui, and then 18 days BI staying in Kona.... the only thing I hated about the BI was the VOG

I know, now your asking yourself what is VOG glad you asked:
http://www.konaweb.com/vog/index.shtml

Maybe next trip over in a couple years, I will be hunting on one of the islands. I did find out though that a buddy of mine that lives on the BI in Hapuna is very low on .307 Winchester ammo. I came home and found almost 3 full boxes that I'm going to send to him along with some empties that he can start reloading of have reloaded.

That picture is nice, and a good place to eat I might add.

Aloha
