Speaking of a grizzly rifle...
Put aside your girly-man .458 Win Mag or your wimpy .50 cal and watch guys shoot a real gun, the largest center fire rifle ever made, the .950 JDJ by SSK Industries(Ohio).
Only three were ever made. This was the lightest, the carbine version, weighing in at 50 lbs (the next two made were 110 pounds each!). It shoots a .95 caliber 2,400 grain bullet at 2,100 fps using 240 grains of powder, which generates 25,400 f/lbs of muzzle energy and 277 f/lbs of recoil energy.
Each round costs $40 !!!

So, each round has about the same recoil energy as a 38+P handgun round has muzzle energy.

I'm guessing zero at 100yds, 1868fps, 18593ftlbs...
Down 8.8in at 200yds, 1636fps, 14261ftlbs
Could prolly drop a smallish hog... in several pieces...

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.
History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

Talk about hitting hard at BOTH ends... The shooter is as likely to drop as anything the bullet hits!

With a depleted uranium core sabot round, it might be adapted to the mount on a HMMWV and be quite the threat to armored vehicles smaller than a tank.

Since they aimed in the exact opposite direction than the target, they're awaiting to boolit to make it's way around the earth & strike the bullseye in the X-ring from behind....................

Re: Speaking of a grizzly rifle...
Better move while it's in flight as it's likely to penetrate the target and come right back at you. Think of it as a boomerang round.Pete44ru wrote:mikld wrote:Yeah, but is it accurate? They didn't show any targets/groups....
