Here's a combo that some might like..

I have been reading all about the combo pictures that folks have been putting on here and felt left out so I thought I would post a couple.

The rifle on top is a 1911 Winchester 94 in 32ws.
2nd is an old Colt Thunderer
3rd is a 73 trapdoor just as I found it
4th is an old 51 Colt Navy

I don't know nothing about what qualifies a combo and I really don't know why I put these together like that(guess I am slipping.) All of these shoot well. The navy doesn't semm to shoot very good with pyrodex for some reason but shoots very good with traditional Goex. I would like to start reloading for the 41 colt but have not found a mould yet that makes those "balloon" bullets locally. I guess I'll have to order one so what do yall suggest.

A genuinely nice combination indeed!!!

The Trapdoor rifle strikes me as a fascinating tool...and I wonder about the number of bison that were slain with them. Would it rival the number that other makes of rifle lay claim too???

I like to sit and think about the history of specific firearms. I know a little bit of history about some of them that I own. For instance, that trapdoor came from Ft. Sumner years ago when they closed it as a post. The story goes that it was legally released to a soldier that had carried it while on guard duty around 1915(I think that was the year his family said it happened.) Its in nice condition other than a large X that was burned in the side of the stock supposedly by the man that carried it. I don't think this one saw many, if any buffalo it is an interesting story none the less. That thunderer came from Clovis and was used by some ranch hand as a hand-me-down carry pistol. The navy came from Roswell and thats all I know about that one. The winchester has no story. I don't know if they call that a 2/3 magazine or what but I do know that somebody drilled two small holes on top of the bolt for some kind of sight that is long gone. It doesn't seem to effect anything and it has plug screws in them so I thought I would just leave it alone.

Those certainly do!

A combo can be two or more items that have any kind of connection. Don't be shy!!!
