never before revealed to the public, this special hyper-assault survival tool could have made all the difference if the cold war had become hot:

:? An O/U rifle/shotgun combo?

Do you have different gauge shells in the pouch? Looks like a red 12 guage and yellow 20 gauge...Which is the gun?

it is a savage 24-C camper with 20" barrels, a 20 guage over 22 lr.
the buttstock is a crinkle finish WWII surplus stock that i got from SARCO years ago. they were $4.99 and sarco had them in their ads for sale for years. they were in those old hermetically sealed pouches and supposedly were used on savage side by side shotguns, and older stevens combo guns during WWII maybe in survival kits. anyway, i bought the stock [ i have so many things like that laying around that seemed like good ideas at the time ] and finally got a 24-C back when they were common and then we slimmed the forend and krinkle coated it too.
my son loves this gun and it is practical to carry around on a 4 wheeler in alaska where grouse, etc are common and with slugs would give you at least minimum defense against bears.
as for the shells they are all 20 gauge, some manufacturers still make red ones. i also have an insert the size of a 20 ga. shell that allows use of the 410 shells as well. the little pouch in the photo holds extra 22 lr shells.
grouse, moose and squirrel beware!

It is a nice lookin' setup. Noticed the shells were all the same size.... red 20 gauge is a current purchase? Thought the PC lawyers compelled shells to be different colors so someone would not take a hammer and try and drive a 12 ga. shell into a 20 ga. barrel

Learn something new everyday!

Guess it is a "lever" gun..... got a little "lever" on the back!

if i had one of those stocks, I would have to buy a side by side just to use it.

Very nice. I bought one of the Savage camp guns last year (just cause I always wanted one when I was a boy and we could not afford it!) and I have yet to shoot it.
